New Single – Mass Hysteria
Anyone have Backyard Superheroes releasing new music this month on their bingo card? Well, look at that – you are a winner! Today, the band dropped a heavily teased new single and accompanying music video featuring none other than Coolie Ranx . Mass Hysteria may be about the world as we know it falling apart and it breaking hearts, but if there is one thing that is clear, it’s that this rad group of friends and band mates are living each day like it’s their last! All nine of them playing together seamlessly and loving doing it. They pulled out all the stops for this one. Clowns, balloons, circle pits, and friends?! Hell yeah. They are partying with their friends and chasing their dreams, while everything around them falls apart.
Speaking of dreams, did you catch the announcement at the end of the video? Backyard Superheroes is releasing their first full length in years! This will be the follow up to 2018’s ‘Never Give Up, Never Surrender’. The album title is also ‘Mass Hysteria’ and if the first single is any indication of what is to come, then it’s going to be a lot of fun! Drops June 28th on Jump Up Records. Keep your eye out for a vinyl pre-order coming soon.
In the meantime, you can play the new single on their Bandcamp and it will be streaming on all platforms Saturday, 5/4. You can also catch the band live at Broken Goblet in Bensalem, PA on Friday 5/17 with Call Me Malcolm, Thirsty Guys, The Phenolic, and Matamoska or at the Buffalo Ska Fest kick-off party (with Coolie on site) at Mohawk Place on Friday 7/12.
